In order to have a donation work properly, first you have to provide a rich content on your blog or website, no bluff. When they see your great content and benefits of it, they are more than willing to donate some money to you. It is similar to “Give and Take” scenario. Here is a great example. If you write an article and want to submit it to EzineArticles, you have to give the benefits of your article to readers first before you can ask them to buy your product or to do something.
After that, you setup a wish list account with Amazon; then ask your readers to buy you any items from the wish list. It could range from a couple dollars to hundreds of dollars. One last thing, you may want to set up a Paypal account so it is convenient for you as well as your readers.
2. Subscription
It is about the membership site where you provide a continue great valuable benefits to members every month otherwise they would not stay there for a long. You have to put your reputation on the line as an authority or expert in the particular niche or subject in order to do this kind of membership site. You can charge ranging from 14.99 to hundreds of dollars per month. Remember what is in store for them to make them stay and follow you. This is the easy one to make money after you have a great traffic to your blog or site. You can begin with Google Adsense which is easy to do once you open an account with Google Adsense and follow all the instructions and place the ad on your blog or site. Google may place whatever ads that they want and it may be a competitor’s ads of yours if you have your product to sell. Another interest point is the “One click gone effect”. As the name implies, the readers click the ads once and never come back again because they got what they are looking for. There is no way to have a repeat clicker!
4. Affiliate marketing
For this one, you need to sign up with affiliate marketing services such Amazon, Commission Junction, Click Share, etc….The way it works is you drive the readers or your potential customers to your merchants’ sales page that persuade them to buy the product. If they do, you get a commission from the merchants. It ranges from 3% to 75% commission. You can write articles to drive traffic to your merchants’ website. You also need to have good keywords that they are looking for in order to have a good click through rate (CTR).
5. Direct Ads
The direct ads works for those that have a higher authority in a particular subject. Once you are very popular in that industry, you will have the advertiser in the same industry call you and talk about having their ads on your site, just to display what their company name, but not about selling their products. They can set the price of the ads. You make more money than the contextual ads.
6. Selling your own product
You are the advertiser of your own products that you may have. You do not need to pay advertiser to do that. What you have to do is to drive the readers to your site and persuade them to buy your products. That is all to it!

Almost everyone that makesmoney on the internet (even the millionaires) do so through affiliate marketing. Video Marketing, and several other marketing strategies are all designed to drive traffic to your site, can be incorporated gradually in order to raise the position your site appears in the SERPs when any one searches for a term related to your site. And yet, even this can be totally automated.
I agree with you that automation helps, but as far as I know you have to do marketing and bring in more traffic to your site. Maybe there are processes of automation to speed up those tasks.
Another idea should be considered in the future. Would the Google let it happen for long? We will see if duplication content would be O.K. with big G.
